ANIFTY is world’s first NFT marketplace that focuses on anime art and characters. The name ‘ANIFTY’ stands for Anime and NFT. Our mission is to reward a global anime character community and strengthens the relationship between fans and creators.
The operating company, ANIFTY Inc. is a start-up company that was selected for the 5th and 6th round of CO.NECT (University of Tokyo Blockchain Acceleration Program), and was established with the support of the University of Tokyo Blockchain Innovation Endowed Chair.
About Certified Artist System
ANIFTY Marketplace offers NFTs by “ANIFTY Certified Artists” who have been selected through a screening process. We will review the artist’s portfolio and verify their identity to ensure that the work on sale is of high quality and is being listed by the artist themselves.
Screening criteria
Not only the number of Twitter followers and NFT experience, the screening process also focuses on “ an artwork with a background”. “An artwork with a background” can literally mean “a background is drawn behind a character such as a person”, but it can also mean “a picture in which the viewer can feel the story behind the work”. In ANIFTY, only original works can be submitted, so those who have created many original works with this kind of background tend to be selected as certified artists.
Pass rate
Currently, approximately 30% of applicants pass the screening process. ANIFTY provides various support services such as active marketing of each work on social networking sites, because we want artists to be able to spend as much time as possible creating their works.
We receive a large number of applications on a daily basis, and our management staff carefully checks each and every application. Unfortunately, due to our workload, it is difficult for us to respond to all requests. Only successful applicants will be contacted in a week after their application. However, there is no limit to the number of times you can apply, and we look forward to seeing you as a ANIFTY certified artist!
Activities and restrictions as a certified artist (spoiler: no restriction)
ANIFTY’s motto is “Artist First”, and we do not set any compulsory listings or restrictions on the use of other marketplaces. After registering as an ANIFTY certified artist, you can list your artworks at your own pace, and about half of the existing certified artists are active in multiple NFT marketplaces including ANIFTY.
